Veteran's Day Breakfast
Location: Red Wolf Breakfast starts at 8am, once everyone arrives, we will start the scheduled itinerary shortly after. Assorted Seasonal Fruit, Assorted Muffins, Bagels, Bacon, Chicken Apple Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, and Southern Breakfast Potatoes. Breakfast for Veterans: Complimentary Breakfast for Non-Veterans: Adults $22, Kids 5-12 $16 (plus tax & service charge, xlife applies) Registration is required. Lyceum Speaker Series: In Celebration of Barbara Bush Literacy Month Featuring Author Chris Helene Bridge November 12 | Doors Open at 6:00 PM | The Houston Club Join us for a special evening honoring Barbara Bush Literacy Month with featured guest speaker Chris Helene Bridge, author of Ganny Says—a heartfelt children’s book inspired by the wisdom and wit of Barbara Bush herself. Chris will share her personal connection to literacy and her partnership with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, highlighting her work to advance literacy in Houston and beyond. Guests will enjoy a short reading from Ganny Says, a visual presentation featuring her literary collection, and the opportunity to purchase signed books and themed holiday bundles following the program. In celebration of November Literacy Month, The Houston Club invites Members to participate in our Book Drive by bringing a new or gently used children’s book to the event—or donating anytime throughout November. All collected books will be distributed to local organizations helping children in need. Enjoy light bites, meaningful conversation, and storytelling that celebrates the enduring power of compassion, community, and literacy.
